James Dwight Dana was an American geologist, mineralogist, volcanologist, and zoologist. He was known for his studies in mountain building, volcanic activity, and the origin and structures that comprised continents and oceans. This set of eight pamphlets would make a great addition to the personal library of anyone interested in various topics under the umbrella of Earth sciences. Any issues with hinges or binding on any of the volumes due to age or wear could provide an excellent opportunity for restoration or rebinding, if desired.
