Cartoon Art of 1934

Betty Boop is an animated cartoon character created by Max Fleischer, with help from animators including Grim Natwick. She originally appeared in the Talkartoon and Betty Boop film series, which were produced by Fleischer Studios and released by Paramount Pictures. She was featured in 90 theatrical cartoons between 1930 and 1939. She has also been featured in comic strips and mass merchandising. A caricature of a Jazz Age flapper, Betty Boop has a large round baby face with big eyes and a nose like a button, framed in a somewhat careful coiffure, with a very small body. She is one of the world's best-known and most popular cartoon characters.

Blackthorne Publishing presents another in its series of 3-D comics, (#11) this one featuring a Three Dimensional take on reprints of classic Betty Boop comic strips from 1934. Famed animated cartoon star Betty is on the verge of signing her first big Hollywood contract, but the lawyers seem to be getting everyone farther away from closing the deal. This Special 3-D comic features the three dimensional story, The Contract.
