If you're replacing a failing or dead disk we can offer a replacement disk as it was installed from the manufacturer.

When someone buys a computer from the manufacturer, it has a factory installed hard disk image which includes drivers and other resources specific to the system that was purchased.  What we offer is the factory image from the manufacturer much like what the system had installed when originally purchased. The only real difference is that there may have been updates to the resources, but it is sill the factory image acquired directly from he manufacturer.  The media that is used is acquired directly from the manufacturer and you can order a copy of the installation media if you want it.

Newer versions of Windows are also offered because the manufacturers version is not the newest version and they only offer something like Windows 7.  The upgrade version will only be generic installations using Microsoft's installation media including Windows 10 or Windows 11 if the system you have will support it.

It is likely that it will be more work disassembling a system to access the drive then it will be to get a new drive working once it is installed. The drive simply has to be plugged in and it is ready to go. Once Windows is loaded the user has to run though the account setup and then it is ready to use.

Activation:

It is more likely that the version of Windows that came with the computer will be activated than a generic Windows version, but there is no guarantee.

Once the computer is connected to the Internet, it will normally update and activate if it is possible, but not all systems are qualified to be activated even if you have a key for many reasons such as a Windows Home key will not work to Activate Windows Pro.  There are many resources that sell cheap license keys so all you have to do is a little searching.

As this is a preinstalled copy of Microsoft Windows 10 from Microsoft there is no DVD or USB media required, but if you’re interested in getting a copy of the install media just contact me for more information.

The drives can be used to replace a drive that is failing or  dead. It is also a easy way to upgrade the version of Windows. Going from a mechanical hard drive to a SSD will also show a noticeable increase in the systems performance.

What drives are offered:
The image used for this listing is only a representation of disk types. You will receive a SATA drive from a number of major manufactures and have been tested to be error free and no bad sectors.

By default, the disk are setup to work as intended by the manufacturer which means it may be configured to work in legacy more or UEFI mode depending on the system.

Also note that many laptops might have M.2 SSD or NVME drives. You just have to let me know if you would prefer have Windows on a M.2 drive that is compatible with your system and pricing.

If you have any questions please contact me as I would appreciate earning your business.
