Between June 25, 1941 and October 29, 1941 a tri-tailed“Twin Motored Transport Plane” was featured.
The question came up.  Was it a real planeused for artist drawing or ?

It appears to be only an artist's conception and is anamalgam of several different designs, but apparently largely based on theDouglas DC-3 aircraft, the Lockheed Electra, and the Beech 18.on U.S. airmailstamps in 6-, 8-, 10-, 15-, 20- and 50-cent dominations.

Stamp is attached to a post card from Trinidad,  Colorado.  Fisher’s Peak and Brid’s EyeView of Tinidad, Colo. From Simpson’s Rest. Post Marked August 21, 1942, Dodge City. Lovely clean stamp.  See photo forstamp condition.  Postcard is in faircondition with no wrinkles or tears, but with a “tape” mark on front top ofcard.
