This half tone lithograph print of Whistler’s watercolor “Design For A Mosaic” is a perfect example of the Japanese Ukiyo- e
(pictures of the floating world) woodblock prints influence not only on the impressionist but on the Aesthetic movement as well, a
movement for which Whistler became a leading proponent. This print is from the early 20th century (1903) printed by The Studio
and is in very good antique condition and as seen in the pics. It will make an excellent addition to any Art Nouveau or Whistler
print collection so don’t let this one get away!
