Vintage Ray-Ban Bausch & Lomb (B&L) Ritual ‘Metal Cat’ Gold plated Frame Tortoise shell around the bronze lenses sunglasses, model W2800 NYAH

These vintage Ray Ban Gold plated Metal Cat sunglasses were part of the company’s Rituals collection. Officially ‘Unisex’,

They have a gold-plated Arista frame with a double bar nose bridge and ear stems. Distinctive design features include tortoiseshell inlays. The Ray-Ban Rituals ‘R’ logo is prominently displayed on the exterior of the left hand ear stem, and one ear pad is impressed W2800 NYAH

The brown B-15 Bausch & Lomb mineral glass lenses each measure about 2" by 1.124" at their widest points and the gold plated ARISTA tortoise shell Ritual metal cat frame measures approximately 5.4" from temple to temple.

ARMS ARE STILL TIGHT

The right lens has Ray-Ban laser etched on it, and both lenses have the usual interlocking ‘BL’ logo adjacent to the hinges.

On the tip of left arm etched NYAH W2800

Compared to modern rubbish Italian-made Luxotica RayBans these have real weight and quality – there is no use of cheap materials in the frames, the lenses are top notch and everything about them oozes quality -making them are a tactile delight. These date from the days when Ray Ban was all about quality, and was not just another fashion brand.

There is a small ‘scab’ in top left corner(as viewed from in front) of the left hand lens, and two small scratches on the same lens (neither of which are visible when looking through the

glasses and aren’t in the line of vision and doesn’t effect the visibility at all),hence the very low price. Snap these up – they are a cracking bargain!

Condition: Pre-owned, in good condition. Minimal scratches all around

Comes in a luxottica Ray-Ban case and a soft pouch for more protection and functioning as cleaning the lenses and frames

Vintage Bausch and Lomb Ray Bans are far greater quality than their modern equivalent.
