It's roughly 12 x 4.5 x 4.25'' in size. A bit of detective work and hopefully I have it right: Impressed H.O England - stands for the US company Hill-Ouston who had a Birmingham outlet over here. As with another company from around the same era, they would approach potteries to produce wares which they would sell as Hill-Ousten. I know Denby did for them and I'm pretty sure from the look and feel of this that it will be Govancroft (think I read somewhere a mention of the name in relation to H.O) (PS- white Govancroft ropey mantel in new listing)Thanks for looking and any questions, please ask
