It features expensive solid silver wire and a massive magnetic core. These extravagances are more than compensated for by its performance quality. The DV/6 A is the most prestigious among the many other transformers or pre-amplifiers. The DV/6 X and DV/6 Z are the economical version but retain almost all the special features of the DV/6A.
