Alexander Graham Bell (March 3, 1847 – August 2, 1922) was a Scottish-born inventor, scientist and notable engineer who patented the first telephone.
In 1876 he was awarded the first US patent for the invention of the telephone. In 1885 he co-founded the American Telephone and Telegraph Company (AT&T). In addition to the telephone, Bell worked on numerous other inventions, including a metal detector, airplanes, and hydrofoils—or “flying” boats.
This limited edition pipe was specially manufactured to celebrate the centenary of Graham Bell's death.
The pipe is a Group 4 Stand-up Quaint shape in Bruyere finish, and is fitted with a finely engraved Sterling Silver band (please note: the pictures were taken with the protective film still on).
The accompanying solid Sterling Silver tamper depicts in high detail Graham Bell's most important invention, the early telephone.
