An Antique Miniature Pokerwork Kist.
A charming free standing miniature arts & crafts carved pokerwork chest dating from the early 20th C.
This period miniature chest has been well tooled to show arts and crafts style flowers and ribbons against a dark brown poker work background. The little kist is raised on four ball feet. Each of the rebated panels shows a flower in bloom with the surrounding wood decorated with flowing ribbons. The top piece forms the lid and is firm on its two brass hinges.
The wood is finished in wax. The wood has developed a natural patina.
Dimensions: The measures 31.5cm. x 12.5cm. It stands 17cm tall.
Weight: 973g's.
Condition: In good used antique condition. The kist is a nice example with a natural wax finish. There are minor surface marks and age marks.
The wood is in good order showing no cracks or splits. The combination of these aspects give this kist character and remains a servicable and useful piece. We encourage potential buyers to make use of the various images to satisfy themselves of condition and we encourage any enquiries.
