Descriptio Livoniae depicts the historical region of Livonia (present-day Estonia and Latvia) in Northern Europe.
The map shows the various cities, rivers, and forests in the region, as well as the borders between the different kingdoms and principalities that existed there at the time.

The Hondius-Bertius Atlas Tabulae Geographicae is a historic atlas that was first published in 1618 in Amsterdam by the Dutch cartographer Jodocus Hondius, and later revised and expanded by his son-in-law, Petrus Bertius.


Cornelis Claesz was the publisher of the Hondius-Bertius Atlas Tabulae Geographicae.
Claesz was the original publisher of the atlas when it was first released in 1618.
The atlas was a collaboration between the Dutch cartographer Jodocus Hondius and his son-in-law Petrus Bertius, who revised and expanded the atlas after Hondius's death in 1629.

Cartographer: Petrus Bertius (1565-1629) was a Dutch cartographer and theologian who made significant contributions to the field of geography in the late 16th and early 17th centuries.
In 1618, Bertius collaborated with Jodocus Hondius, a renowned Dutch cartographer, to create the Hondius-Bertius Atlas Tabulae Geographicae
He was highly respected in his time for his knowledge and expertise, and his contributions to the field of cartography.
