FRENCH Silver - Antique PHILIPPE BERTHIER (Paris) c1855 - Gilt Tea Serving Set

A stunning antique all-over gilt French silver 15 piece tea serving set.

Set comprises of 12 teaspoons, in-spout strainer, caddy and sugar tongs / nips.

Comes in the original fitted box.

Markings: Each piece fully hallmarked, Minerva (2) so 800/1000 silver. See images above.

Size: Teaspoons measure 5 7/8" (15 cm) long, tongs 6 1/4" (15.5 cm), caddy 4" (10 cm) and strainer 2 1/2" (6.5 cm) wide.

Condition: All are in vintage, lightly used, condition. All with a nice soft gilt patina, box is in tired condition - various parts of the top veneer missing. The key fits but the lock no longer works. Please see images above.
