Superb Antique 1906 Edinburgh Coat Of Arms Sterling Silver & Enamel Spoon.

This highly unusual and scarce antique sterling silver spoon is of the coat of arms of Edinburgh featuring the Latin words "Nisi Dominus Frustra Edinburgh" (Except the lord in vain)

The spoon features white & blue enamel on the coat of arms crest

The spoon is fully hallmarked for sterling silver, with a London city import mark, the year 1906 made by the silversmiths Cornelius Desormeaux Saunders & James Francis Hollings

The spoon still has some very faint gold gilding to the inside bowl of the spoon

The spoon's stem has a tiny amount of warping but overall is in great antique condition
