Description: A fine original scare antique map of the British Isles, with a inlay map of the Mainland islands, a decorative title cartouche, and a Prussian duty stamp in the lower cartouche as usually for the Euler maps.
Leonhard Euler (1707-1783) was a Swiss mathematician and physicist, and was arguably the greatest mathematician of the eighteenth century.

This map was engraved by Nikolaus Friedrich Sauerbrey engraver of the Prussian Academy of Sciences. (Königlich-Preußische Akademie der Wissenschaften)
