Description
Up for your consideration is a fine matching pair of Samson (France) hand-painted armorial plates, c. 1875. The plates are of the finest quality, and were made to resemble 18th C. Chinese export plates. The plates are in excellent condition, and display very well. They are signed with the Samson red "chop" mark on the underside.

The plates are 9" in diameter
Condition
Excellent original condition, free of chips, cracks, or restorations. The plates were always used for presentation, never as dinner plates. So, the armorial painting is bright, intact, and without scratches. Some of the raised white piping has darkened in some spots, which is typical aging for this type of plate. I have done my best to show these plates as accurately as possible.
