Descrizione:
Subthreshold micropulse diode laser (MPDL) has recently been shown to be effective in the treatment of CSME and seems to have a theoretical advantage, since the laser burns will affect deeper layers with relative sparing of the inner neurosensory retina, thus reducing the scarring and paracentral scotomas posttreatment. This work aims at assessing the effectiveness of micropulse diode laser versus conventional argon green laser for the treatment of clinically significant diabetic macular oedema regarding: Best corrected, visual acuity, Central macula thickness measurement by OCT, Contrast sensitivity and Post laser scarring.
