BELSTAFF “Trialmaster - ProfessionalΜen’s motorcycle waxed-jacket VINTAGE

This is a fine piece of classic off-road motorcycle history. Originally bought in England in 1980, it was used by me in Enduro racing for a mere decade and since then it has been stocked washed and waxed, (because my new-synthetic and easier-cleaned enduro gear was used).

This is the original and genuine, classic and old, vintage and unique BRITISH-made jacket, the one fabricated from 6oz. waxed-cotton and NOT the later, synthetic/nylon made, which is perhaps warmer and lighter, but not THE iconic-one. (Notam: Enduro-jackets of those days did not come with hard “protective insets”, other than cushy foam/cloth reinforcements in the elbows and shoulders.)

It has four large and front flap-pockets, all brass-buttons work and are lubed, same with the big-long horizontal-central zipper. It also has the corduroy trim at the collar with its buckle-fastening, the “signature” logo-patch on the sleeve and has the characteristic metallic “vent-holes” at the arm-pits, to keep the rider cool and comfortable under Enduro or Trials conditions. And – of course – it has the typical belt, from the same material. This specific jacket, its color being brownish-black, carries the unavoidable off-road “patina” too, mark of a careful and happy use.

As seen in the photographs, it has a small-professional stitching on the right shoulder – unfortunately before I dug in my den and found the original-factory “piece of cloth”, that was provided by the Company upon sale of jacket.

The jacket’s size is number 54, suitable for riders of 175-185cm (height), 75-85kgs (weight) and has the typically-British long sleeves.

The buyer will receive not only the factory-extra “piece of waxed-cloth” for possible mending, but also a small can of wax for future waxing.
