TCM ACTIONS
Releases Exterior Wind-Cold, resolves turbid Damp, regulates the Qi and harmonises the middle Jiao.
INDICATIONS
Acute enteritis, acute gastroenteritis, common cold with digestive problems, intestinal flu, traveller’s diarrhoea, food poisoning, candidiasis (gastrointestinal).
SIGNS & SYMPTOMS
Distending pain in epigastrium or abdomen, Nausea or vomiting, Borborygmus, Loose stools or diarrhoea, Chills and mild fever, Aversion to cold, Tongue has a white and greasy coat, Pulse may be soft and/or floating.
ACTIONS OF THE MAIN HERBS
* Agastache herb is used orally in formula to treat abdominal bloating, nausea and vomiting. It has been shown to have antibiotic and carminative actions, as well as promoting gastric secretions.
* Magnolia bark is used orally in formulas to treat a variety of digestive disorders. It has been shown to have antibiotic, antispasmodic, digestive, analgesic and mild sedative actions.
DOSAGE & COURSE OF TREATMENT
Adults take 8 pills, 3 times daily with warm water, half to one hour before or after food, or as directed by your healthcare practitioner.
