GVI-001 – Gas Valve Interlock Control Panel – Cadamp

Installation

1. Install in a dry sheltered position. Do not install in close proximity to a heat source.
2. All wiring and control equipment MUST comply with current applicable regulations, in particular
IEE552-01-02/03.

Operation
The GVI-001 is a gas interlock control system that can be used with either pressure switches or current sensors to
monitor fans and enable the electrical supply to a gas valve solenoid.

Pressure switch use
The GVI-001 has connections for 2 pressure switches. These pressure switches are to be wired to the panel
using the normally open contacts, which close when there is airflow present. When airflow is proved the airflow on lamp
will light and the electrical supply to the gas valve solenoid will be enabled, the gas on lamp will light. When there is a
loss of airflow the gas valve solenoid will remain enabled for 10 seconds. This is to prevent loss of gas in the event of
backdrafts.

Current sensor use
GVI-001 has connections for 2 current sensors. When fan current flow is proved the airflow on lamp will light and
the electrical supply to the gas valve solenoid will be enabled, the gas on lamp will light. When there is a loss of fan
current the gas valve solenoid will remain enabled for 10 seconds. This is to prevent loss of gas in the event of backdrafts.
If a supply fan current sensor is fitted then both supply and extract fan current flow is to be proved before the airflow on lamp lights and the electrical supply to the gas valve solenoid is enabled.

Remote emergency stop button connections
GVI-001 has connections to allow the fitting of a remote emergency stop button if required.
