White Raven is pleased to offer (and will consider reasonable offers for) this very fine antique Art Deco "Watrous" Sterling Silver Compact Dance Coin Purse.  This piece is just gorgeous and quite heavy at approximately 160g.  It has a super-cool linear Deco design with a cut triangle on the front with a plain back.  Inside the compact includes a 4-coin coin section, a cracked mirror hiding a powder section (with powder remnants), a puff (unsure if the original) and 2 old photos of a man and a woman.  The photos might impede the closing of the mirrored flap, I'll let the buyer decide to remove them or not.  On the other side is a clip (for dance cards perhaps) and the Watrous and Sterling marks.  The Silver is machine turned.  It measures about 4" X 2 5/8" X 3/8".  There are some imperfections including the chain handle.  It is obviously not original to the purse and is not Sterling (and was not included in the weight).  These are easy to replace with one from the same time period if desired.  In addition, there are a couple of dings on the backside and the above mentioned cracked mirror.  Nevertheless, this is a rare and special piece and is in very good antique condition, it'd be a fabulous addition to any collection.  Please view photos for a more complete description, and email should you have questions.  This item will ship fully insured via USPS First Class Package.
