ITEM DESCRIPTION:
White Raven is pleased to offer (and will consider reasonable offers for) this very fine antique Art Deco "E*A*M" Elgin American Manufacturing Silverplated Compact Dance Coin Purse. This piece is just gorgeous and quite heavy at approximately 100g. It has a super-cool linear Deco design with a monogrammed seal on the front with a plain back. Inside the compact includes a 4-coin coin section and a mirror covering a powder section. On the other side is a clip (for dance cards perhaps) and the EAM and item number marks. The Silver is machine turned. It measures about 3 1/2" X 2 1/2" X 1/4". There are a couple of dings, however, to the back but no other damage I can see. Overall, this is a rare and special piece and is in very good antique condition, it'd be a fabulous addition to any collection.
