VINTAGE SIEMENS TELEPHONE

GREY AND CREAM THERMOPLASTICS

ROTATING DIAL

MADE BY SIEMENS IN BELGIUM , BRUXELLES , 1968

Fg.Tist.282 model as printed on the back

This model, introduced in 1955, used thermoplastics in stead of bakelite and was one of the first "plastics" telephones made in Europe.

The design was revolutionary, with the unusual handset position and availability in different colours.

 nice design object

Great collectors item / decorative / theatre attribute / for parts or repair ..

A real classic in telephone history !

Dial turns freely.

partly tested (on Belgium land line) : dial tone present, ringing works, incoming call can be answered   . no outgoing call tested.

It uses pulse dialing (as do the majority of rotating dial telephones) .

I cannot know / guarantee if it will work on your telephone line.

selling as collectors item only , although I have tested it for incoming call only, and it works on my landline, there is no guarantee on function or quality,  selling AS IS,not working, for parts or repair.
