The Greek and Roman History of Illustrated Coins & Medals. Representing their Religions, Rites, Manners, Customs, Games, Feasts, Arts and Sciences. Together with A Succinct Account of their Emperors, Consuls, Cities, Colonies and Families. In Two Parts. Cesar for the Introduction of Youth into all the useful Knowledge of Antiquity, By O.W., Printed by G. Croom, for William Miller at the Gilded Acorn in St. Paul’s Churchyard, 1692, 360 pp, original Cambridge paneled leather, 7 x 4.75”, 12mo.

In as-is condition. Lacking rear-board. Front board detached. Spine abraded and worn with small repair at second compartment. Front board is quite worn but beautifully stamped with flanking acorn motif. This was printed at the Gilded Acorn, which makes it quite special! Original owner’s name at top edge of title has been either purposefully removed or wormed. Small patch of worming to margin of title. Internally good with light toning and minor instances of foxing. The occasional age-stain and finger smudge. A few, neat instances of marginalia in old hand. Binding remains intact. All edges speckled. An excellent candidate for restoration, if desired. Please see photos.
