The Nepal 500 Rupees Banknote was issued by the Nepal Rastra Bank in 2007. The note has a color combination of brown and violet. Its obverse features Mount Everest, the god Indra, Mount Amadablam and Thyangboche monastery. The reverse depicts a rhododendron, the bank logo, and two tigers drinking melted snow. The note contains a 4-mm wide windowed security thread with demetalized NRB. It also has a watermark that reveals King Gyanendra. It is signed by Bijaya Nath Bhattarai and is 160 x 70 mm in size. This particular banknote is in uncirculated condition.
