Sterling Silver Presentation Bowl by William Comyns & Sons - Arts and Crafts Style - Antique Edwardian

Description

This exceptional antique Edwardian sterling silver presentation bowl/cup/bowl has a plain circular rounded form onto a flared, spreading foot.

The surface of this Arts and Crafts silver bowl has a planished finish and divided into eight embossed inverted arched panels.

The shaped rim of the bowl and panelled foot are encompassed with applied moulded borders.

This bowl is fitted with two large handles, each with a plain thumbpiece and scrolling lower terminal.

The underside of the bowl bears the registration number "RD NO 430118", in addition to the full hallmarks.

This versatile bowl/cup is a substantial size and if required could be used as a wine/bottle cooler.

If required, this antique bowl is suitable for a personal engraved inscription. Once confirmation of the engraving details has been received and confirmed the process will take between 14-21 days.

This antique Arts and Crafts silver bowl is an exceptional gauge of silver, exceptional quality and in exceptional presentation condition.

Full hallmarks struck to the underside of the bowl are very clear.
