An early Victorian period, carved rosewood with tapestry firescreen, Circa 1847.

This attractive, well proportioned firescreen, constructed from well figured, high quality solid rosewood. Ornate carved details in the Rococo revival style. Features a glazed tapestry screen, depicting the visiting of the Three Wise Men at the Birth of Christ. Surrounded by parcel-gilt border. Sits on castors. French polish finish.

There is a small note on the rear indicating the tapestry was made in 1847, which would be similar to the age of the firescreen itself.

Totally original, in very good condition. Cleaned and wax polished. Ready for use.

Condition:
Original condition, with only odd minors marks and blemishes. Sturdy and solid. No signs of damage or repairs.

Delivery usually takes 1 to 3 weeks from receipt of payment to mainland England (except Cornwall); 2 to 4 weeks for Scotland, rural Wales and Cornwall; 4 to 8 weeks for Northern Ireland and Ireland. Sorry I cannot deliver this item to the Channel Islands, Isle of Wight, Isle of Man, Scilly Isles, Scottish Highlands, Scottish Islands.
Delivery is by Man & Van type courier. This is NOT a regular box courier type service. As such deliveries take time to be collected, scheduled and booked in. Where possible the courier will try to accommodate specific date and time requirements, but this is not always possible. Please consider before purchasing that the Man & Van couriers I use are one man or small operations, and are not able to offer the service that big national couriers do. However they rarely break items and know how to handle these items, they will try to accommodate your requirements where possible, they will also help lift items into your location, and sometimes they may even be able to deliver on evenings and weekends. Though please be aware they may get held up in traffic and be late, and sometimes even have to reschedule deliveries. They are on the road constantly and major traffic jams are now very common place.

This item is available for return within 30 days of receipt. Goods must be returned in the same condition as when received. Buyer is responsible for the cost of return shipping.
