A fine and impressive antique George III English sterling silver helmet shaped cream jug; an addition to our Georgian silver teaware collection

Description

This fine antique George III sterling silver cream jug has a helmet shaped form onto a pedestal with a circular spreading foot and plain square base.

The body of this antique cream jug is embellished with the contemporary bright cut engraved crest depicting a dove, above the initials 'EMR'.

The rim of the body and circular spreading foot are encompassed with applied reed decorated borders.

This fine example of Georgian silverware is fitted with a narrow loop handle ornamented with plain applied moulded decoration.

Condition

This antique cream jug is a very good gauge of silver, fine quality and in excellent condition.

Full hallmarks struck to the underside of the base are all very clear.

Reflections in photographs may detract from the true representation of this antique Georgian teaware.
