NOTE - when the PEN PROBE is not in use, please ensure the cap is securely placed on, to avoid the PEN PROBE from drying out.

The file is used for removing any impurities before calibrating with 18K yellow gold and testing gold or platinum.

Red Cable: One end will plug into the back of the PEN-PROBE and the other will plug into either of the red connection spots on the unit.

To calibrate - you will use the manual dial adjustment to calibrate with 18K yellow gold. Once you are touching the PEN PROBE to the 18K yellow gold, turn and adjust until the dial is in the middle of the 18K. range.

BLACK CORD: it is used with the Alligator clip and it plugged into the black connection spot.
