Here is a rare set of riveted Simplex steel double chainrings.  This 50/46 half step set was used on the Peugeot PL-8 touring bikes of the 1960's.  Usually mounted to the Nervar three arm steel crank arms.  It is in good structural shape.  No cracks, dents, bends, or excessive tooth wear.  Check all photos for condition.  These were not sold on French touring bikes in the United States, and the first I've ever seen.  Certainly, made by Simplex for the European touring market.  The riviting made for a strong crank torque, and they don't come loose!   Cosmetically, it does show some normal wear, but is in good useable shape for many more miles. The chrome on the rings still shine pretty well and are not as pitted as many UO-8 steel rings were.  This is a very rare and unique ring-gear set up.  A nice usable touch on that vintage French bike on E'rotica ride day!  Please look at the pictures.  Ask any questions that you might have.  Paypal payment due with 48 hrs of auction ending.  Carefully packaged and quickly shipped.  Thanks for looking and have a safe ride!
