A bouquet of bright red-orange flowers bursts forth with flowers in various stages of development. It is a vibrant still life that explodes with dynamic but fragile energy, as produced by the conversely bold and delicate watercolor shapes. The vivid sense of movement challenges the conventions of the “still” life genre.

A native of Montana, Eaton has been a fine artist since the mid 1970s and also an art instructor. He is best known for his vibrant watercolor florals and landscapes. He attended Montana State University in Bozeman and operates the Eaton Gallery in Red Lodge, Montana. His work has won awards including one of the Top 100 Paintings in the Arts in the National Parks.
