New CD , Polish release

A different view of the world

Cheap Tobacco, a band present on the Polish and foreign rock music scene for over ten years, has prepared material for the next album, entitled "Let's see ourselves", released by the Polish Radio Music Agency.

The album has already been announced by the singles: "Let's see each other" and "Dance, dance" and the latest song released by the Polish Radio Music Agency in June -  "City".

In a sense, this is the "new" Cheap Tobacco, although still with the same line-up: the vocalist and songwriter Natalia Kwiatkowska endowed with an original timbre of voice, and the instrumentalists who create songs together with her: Robert Kapkowski (guitar), Michał Bigulak (bass) and Bartosz Kołodziejski (drums). "New" because it changed to a more mature way the four of them began to look at the world around them. A world that, as they say, they color and retouch with their rock message and the clarity of new numbers.

The album "Let's see ourselves" was recorded and produced in the renowned studio Black Kiss Records Arek Kopery, who personally realized and mixed the sessions in cooperation with the band's musicians. Pako Sarr, Radek Owczarz (beautiful percussion loop in the song "Nie boj się") and Borys Sawaszkiewicz (keyboard parts) were invited to produce the album.

The album "Let's see ourselves" was created for a long time, without haste, in a spontaneous way. Cheap Tobacco has been following its own musical path for years, avoiding artistic compromises, consistently expressing with their music and lyrics what they feel at a given moment and what they want to share with fans. For some it's an alternative, for others it's good contemporary pop based on the old school of rock and blues, from which they draw handfuls.

"Let's see each other" consists of twelve songs in which everyone can find a piece of their own history. These are both songs in which, in the musical layer, the melodious vocals are accompanied by sharp backgrounds, as well as touching ballads based on blues chromaticism.

Cheap Tobacco combines styles and plays with convention, not allowing to be closed in stereotypical musical categories. The album "Let's see each other" is a musical panorama of the present, full of contradictions, conflicts, pain, but also love, mutual respect and happiness.
