Description:

A blue glass bowl designed by the Swedish artist Bertil Vallien (born 1938) for Kosta Boda. Made in Sweden, the blue footed bowl features spiraling metallic tone accents throughout. The bowl is signed “Boda B. Vallien 57537” to the underside.

Bertil Vallien is a highly respected glass artist and designer. In the 1950s, he studied under Stig Lindberg at the art school Konstfack in Stockholm. Best known for his work at Kosta Boda, Vallien is celebrated for sand casted sculptures. Many of these sculptures have the repeated motif faces.

Minor scratches to the underside.
