Cuprinol Anti Slip Decking Stain is a tough durable, water-based finish available in rich semi-transparent colours that enhance the natural look of your decking. It includes an algicide that helps protect from green algae and mould growth. Its double action formulation includes invisible anti-slip micro beads to make your decking safer.

To maintain your decking reapply a maintenance coat every year to prolong the life of the wood. Occasional cleaning with a dampened cloth or brush can also prolong the life of your treated wood.

Ensure decked areas are swept with a stiff brush or broom to remove all surface dirt, debris and other surface contaminates. Remove any algae, lichen, fungi or moss using an appropriate fungicidal wash such as Cuprinol Decking Cleaner. Wood previously stained, painted, or varnished should be stripped back to bare wood. Surfaces should be fully dry and free from dirt before painting. On decking previously stained with Cuprinol Anti-Slip Decking Stain, use a wire brush to remove any loose or peeling material and remove any surface contaminates as mentioned above.
Stir thoroughly before use. Final colour will depend upon wood type, previous treatment and the number of coats applied. Apply 2-3 coats evenly along the grain, avoiding overlaps. When applying subsequent coats, allow each coat to dry fully before recoating. Do not apply in temperatures below 5℃, in damp conditions or if rain is likely before the product has dried. If using more than one can, it is advisable to mix them together in a larger container or finish in a corner before starting a new can to ensure colour consistency. On previously stained decking, touch up bare areas and allow to dry before finishing with further coats. Avoid heavy wear and tear on the decking for a few days after application.
2-6 hours. Drying times can vary depending on the nature of the surface and the weather conditions.
Remove as much stain as possible from brushes and rollers before cleaning with water. Do not use or store in extremes of temperature or wet conditions.
To maintain the surface finish and its anti-slip properties, re-apply a fresh coat of Cuprinol Anti-Slip Decking Stain when the surface starts to show signs of wear, following the Preparation and Application instructions above.
