Axel Pressbutton was created by Steve Moore and Alan Moore. Axel Pressbutton was originally a mild-mannered and plant-loving florist, he took delivery of plant matter which included a sentient, telepathic, anesthetic, carnivorous fungus which attacked his body from the feet upwards. All the time it was consuming him, it was empathizing with him, apologizing for eating him and preventing him from feeling the pain. By the time he was rescued, the only remaining parts of his body were his head, right arm and part of his chest. As a result of this damage, he became extremely embittered, especially against vegetation. Fortunately, modern medicine could rebuild him, as Pressbutton,  with a pair of robotic legs, a steel midsection, and a razor-sharp cleaver permanently mounted to his new arm. Because of his lack of genital equipment, they also gave him a big “orgasm-inducing” red button on his chest which, when pressed, puts Axel in a very good mood. His partner is a “laser eraser” named Mysta Mystralis, who is beautiful, deadly with her laser and who knows how to - ahem - press Axel’s button.

Laser Eraser aka... Mysta Mystralis is a weapons expert and trained assassin. She was cloned from the Ektryn, a renowned warrior from the planet Nagflar. She is 13 years old but appears to be a grown woman thanks to the growth acceleration of the cloning process. She works with the Cyborg Axel Pressbutton for some jobs but is known to be deadly on her own.
