Description

This is a clean 2004 Stelling Golden Cross 5 string Banjo.  This is all original but I want to mention we had to add some extra washers behind one of the coordinator rods to get the rod to stick out of the shell long enough for there to proper adjustment.  The banjo is all original, clean and plays and sounds fantastic.  There is a picture of the added washers and they really mean basically nothing.

This has a Tony Pass Lost Timbre Shell and a Curly Maple neck and resonator.  The fretboard is ebony and this has a Golden Cross inlay pattern.  The side of the neck has white binding and checker purfling.  The resonator has w/b/w binding.  I looked around and found other 2004 Golden Cross Banjos with this resonator so this is original for that year.  This is not to mention the finish on the neck and resonator match exactly.

The hardware is nickel and all original including a Stelling one piece Ribbon Flange and a Stelling No Hole Tone Ring.  This banjo is exceptional and looks, plays and sounds fantastic.

Condition and Set up

This banjo is in fantastic shape.  The metal looks great and is definitely clean with a nice shine.  The finish is in fantastic shape as well.  The frets and fretboard are clean with spikes in frets 7,8,9,10 and 11.  This banjo is definitely in excellent condition and the case is clean as well.

The head is a new Huber frosted head and this has a Snuffy Smith Bridge and new Huber strings.  This banjo is also properly set up and is a monster player and a cannon!!
