Map title:   TERRAE SANCTAE…, Antwerp, 1578

Description: First edition of De Jode's map of the Holy Land. The shoreline is irregular and runs from Tirus to Beersheba. There is a view of modern Jerusalem at the bottom, and two illustrations, the Chapel of the Nativity in Bethlehem and the Church of the Holy Sepulchre.
