In as-is condition. Covers and spine have age-related toning and wear, with some tearing to the spine. The cover boards are very loose. Some ink inscriptions from previous owners on the front inside cover. The title page has tears along the edges and is detached. Pages have age-related toning and foxing that has extended onto the page edges. Hinges are worn with some uneven support. Please see photographs and ask any questions prior to purchasing. 

Edward Polhill was baptized into the Church of England in 1622. He was known as an able theologian, writing several theological treatises expanding the thought of English Puritanism. Although Polhill remained a member of the Church of England his entire life, he criticized the Church for causing non conformists.
