The teapot is very charming, medium sized, approximately 9 inches tall overall and features a black and yellow rooster/chicken in the center. The base of the pot is hand-painted with a green and tan checkerboard pattern. The lid features a yellow and black small chicken finial to use to pull the lid off. It is pre-owned, in excellent condition without nicks or chips. There is a small steam hole on the back of the chicken finial. 

The plate is 8 inches in diameter and has several small chips on the rim, please see photos. They are not overtly noticeable but are there. It features the same rooster design as the teapot and the checkered green rim.
