A scarce piece on Catholicism by Robert Southey (1774-1843), who served as Poet Laureate of the United Kingdom from 1813 until his death. Originally a radical, Southey drifted more and more towards conservatism, especially after becoming Poet Laureate, which alienated many other fellow writers. A wonderful piece for restoration.
