Vintage Brass Filigree Footed Holder & Glass Ashtray, Soap Holder, Jewelry, Etc.

Not sure exactly what this piece is used for, but looks mostly like an ashtray to me. Could be used to hold various items, jewelry, soap dish, cotton balls, etc.

The glass has a beautiful starburst raised pattern on the bottom. The brass holder has 3 feet.
