The turbochargers on many of the petrol applications - especially the 2.0l TSI, 2.0 FSI CCTA and CBFA engines - suffer with a wastegate rattle. This rattle is due to wear on the wastegate arm connection onto the turbine housing wastegate arm. In most cases, this results in a full, expensive replacement turbocharger as the individual part is not supplied separate.
This clip reduces the play in the actuator - wastegate arm, reducing or completely stopping the rattle.
