MM Phono stage PCB GE transistors JBL SG-520 clone
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Phono stage PCB board on germanium (GE) transistors
(according to this scheme, it was installed in the JBL-SG520 preamplifier)
Phono stage MM, fully based on domestic germanium GE
transistors GT308V, P416B, MP16B (USSR)
Corrector JBL-SG520. Standardly installed in
preamplifier JBL-SG520 (USA 1960), (with RIAA correction)
The sound of the phono stage is detailed, bright - it
looks like a "tube sound". The sound as a whole is very legible and
soft, the scene has acquired volume and localization. Pleasant sound, with good
soft bass, good "middle", a certain alloy of transistor detail and
lamp heat.

You must have soldering skills and
understand electronics!
The phono stage board is made according to the version
of the “vs music” scheme. Special thanks to
"vs music" for the work done. The corrector board has its own voltage
regulator. It is also possible to supply voltage, both AC and DC. The power
supply circuit of the corrector is implemented according to the developments of
the 60s. Plus power is connected to the "ground". Therefore, to power
the corrector, you need to use a separate power supply or transformer. It is
highly desirable to place the corrector board in a separate aluminum or metal
case, which serves as a screen ("ground").
