This fine pair of late Georgian Irish hemispherical domes were made for bowls of a corresponding size.  They were made as a pair but differ slightly in weight and a tiny bit in size due to the fact that they were hand blown.  The outside diameter of the flange on the lids is 5 1/8"  (which should match the inside diameter of any bowl they would fit).  They could also be seen as elegant cheese domes.  Their overall height is 5" They are beautifully decorated with strawberry, facet and diamond cutting.  The underside of one of the finials has some chipping (that is not visible from above-see final photo).  The other dome has a few fleabites in the same area. The glass is clear and the deep cuts give great sparkling reflections.
