A rare stone found in this lovely dark purple but when moved it has a brilliant pinkish/violet within (similar to the flash/iridescence in labradorite).  Hard to show the extent of this in photographs much more impressive in reality.  A very special stone.

Purpurite is found in Namibia, the US and Europe, this particular stone is from Portugal.

A solid 6-7mm thick stone which comes with a 17mm ornate 925 Sterling Silver Pinch and hanging bail, which has a heart and diamond carved on the front, stamped 925.
