Description

Here is what Jackson says about the DK2XR HH:

The Jackson X Series Dinky DK2XR limited-edition electric guitar offers a next-level performance experience with features and appointments for the price-conscious musician. Precisely crafted, it includes a poplar body with sculpted shredder’s cut heel for quick access to the upper frets, as well as a bolt-on maple neck with satin back finish for smooth playability, scarf joint for reduced playing fatigue and graphite reinforcement for stability against climate changes and environmental duress. Featuring rolled edges, 24 jumbo frets and inverted pearloid sharkfin inlays, the 12"–16" compound radius laurel fingerboard is the ideal platform for heavy chording and fast, ripping solos.

The DK2XR is loaded with Jackson high-output humbucking pickups for full, rich tone with maximum overdrive and sustain. Explore this instrument’s sonic palette with a three-way pickup blade switch and single volume and tone controls, and dive bomb at will with reliable tuning stability from the Jackson-branded Floyd Rose-licensed double-locking tremolo bridge system.

Why was this guitar sent to a refurbisher?

The only issue found is an area where the finish is slightly lighter below the pickups.  I have included a picture pointing to the area, but it is too light to show in a picture.  You can only see it if you are holding the guitar with the light at an angle, no one will ever see it when you are playing.

FAQ, frequently asked questions

Why are instruments sent to a refurbisher?  The instrument could be a discontinued model, have a finish imperfection, or need a minor repair.

Who refurbishes your instruments?  All of my instruments come from the largest and best refurbisher in the country, where any issue found is corrected by a factory trained and authorized luthier.

Does a refurbished instrument have the manufacturer warranty?  No, any instrument sent to a refurbisher, regardless of the reason it was sent there, no longer carries the manufacturer warranty.

Will I need to set up my instrument when I receive it?  All of my instruments have been set-up before shipping, so most are ready to play out of the box.  However some instruments may need a minor adjustment after shipping due to changes in temperature, humidity, and  getting bumped around during shipping.  Also some players like to set up a new guitar to their own personal preferences.

What identifies an instrument as being refurbished?  Most refurbished instruments have a small used stamp on the back of the head stock and are issued a new serial number.  This is to prevent an unethical dealer from concealing the fact that the instrument was sent to a refurbisher.
