This exceptional antique Victorian English 9ct yellow gold sovereign case has a subtly domed circular rounded form.
The anterior and posterior surfaces of this piece are plain and unembellished.
This 19th century sovereign case is fitted with a hallmarked bow with a push fit catch, which when pressed releases the hinged cover revealing a hallmarked spring loaded sovereign holder embellished with engine turned decoration.
This impressive Victorian piece is fitted with a hallmarked ring loop attachment.
ConditionThis 19th century sovereign case is an exceptional gauge of gold , exceptional quality and in exceptional condition.
Full hallmarks struck to the interior of the cover and part hallmarks to the sprung sovereign receiver and ring loop attachment are very clear; the hallmarks are struck deeply due to the exceptional gauge of gold.
