This is a vintage clock around 50 years old the anniversary name of these type clock states that the clock should only require winding once a year 400 day this has lots of variables including vibrations etc

It’s much more realistic to wind once a month and to regulate the time +|-

The most common way to damage these clocks is to spin the pendulum when setting the clock you only need to turn the pendulum three quarters a turn and to release it the clock will then settle into its rhythm

The clock must remain perfectly flat this can be achieved by winding the feet and making sure the pendulum sits in the centre of the cup

When moving the hands it is not uncommon for the escapement to flutter this is normal and shows the clock is set up correctly

The pendulum can be locked in position for transport from A to B this includes moving around the room and any damage to the torsion caused by not locking the pendulum wire will affect the time keeping
