Peptac liquid relieves heartburn and indigestion symptoms through its three main ingredients: sodium bicarbonate, sodium alginate and calcium carbonate. Together, these three ingredients work to neutralise excess acid in your stomach. By doing so, this medicine effectively reduces and relieves symptoms such as bloatedness, flatulence, nausea and uncomfortable, burning sensations in your chest. The liquid is easy to swallow, measure and has an aromatic aniseed flavour.

How to use the product:

Peptac is suitable for adults and children over the age of six.

Do not give to children younger than six years old. It is also suitable for treating heartburn and indigestion symptoms during pregnancy.

The recommended dose for adults and children over the age of 12 is two - four spoonfuls.

You can use a teaspoon (5ml) to measure the dose.

For children aged 6 to 12, the recommended dose is one-two teaspoons.

Take the liquid by mouth, directly after meals and just before bedtime. Do not take more than 4 doses per day.

Side effects:

Skin rash.

Difficulty in breathing.

Dizziness .

Swelling of the face, lips, tongue or throat.

Warnings for Peptac Aniseed:

Can cause raised formation of itchy skin rash/hives; flaky dry skin patches (dermatitis) and rarely lightness in the chest and difficulty breathing.
Each 10 ml does contain up to 143mg sodium.
If you are on a special diet, e.g, sodium restricted you should consult your doctor before taking this medicine.
Do not take this medicine if you are allergic to any of the above ingredients.
Your medicine may interfere with other drugs that you are taking. if you are taking any of these medicines: quinidine, ACE inhibitors, analgesics, antibacterials, antitiephetics, antifugals, antimalarials. antipsychotics. bisphosphonales, lithium and penicillamine, you should consult your doctor before taking this medicine.
Do not store above 25ÂºC.
Do not refrigerate or freeze.
Dispose after the expiry date.
Keep all medicine out of the reach and sight of children.
Do not take peptac Peppermint liquid within one to two hours of taking other medicines by mouth.
Can be taken during pregnancy and breastfeeding. If symptoms persists consult your doctor. Do not take this medicine for more that two weeks without advice from your doctor of pharmacist.
If you accidentally take too much medicine, contact your doctor or pharmacist, who will recommend what action you should take.
Peptac Peppermint liquid affects people in different ways.
Some people may experience side effects others may not.
Possible side effects include constipation, flatulence, stomach cramps of belching.

The Royal Mail delivery service that we use classifies UK destination parcels, which take over 5 working days from the day of dispatch for delivery as "Delayed".
