This beautiful little baby doll is what I believe to be an Armand Marseille “Baby Phyllis” doll, which was made during the 1920s, making her approximately 100 years old at the time of this writing.

She measures approximately 11 inches tall and is marked “AM Germany" and either 541.12 or 341.12 on the back of her neck ... it's hard to tell which.  She has a bisque swivel head, composition hands, and a stuffed cloth body, straight legs and feet.  She has painted strawberry hair, faint strawberry hand-painted barely-there eyebrows and eyelashes, beautiful blue stationary red-dot eyes, a little button nose, puffy rosy cheeks, and a closed somewhat pouty mouth.  She has a crier box, but it does not work.

She is in fairly good condition.  Her cloth body is in good condition for her age, but does have holes around in the arm cloth where it attaches to the hand.   She has minor rubs on her head too.  Her hands were repainted to stabilize her, but could still some TLC.  She did have open and close sleep eyes, but the rocker mechanism was broken during shipment to a previous buyer.  They have since been repaired with stationary eyes, rather than sleep eyes.

She comes wearing a vintage replacement christening gown, white slip adorned with lace, white lacy bloomers, cream-colored knit socks, and crocheted pink ribbon tie sweater and booties to complete her outfit.
