Muscadine
Vitis Rotundifolia

So we have a friend that lives down the road from our farms.
We call him 'Dan - The Muscadine Man'!
His back yard is full of many rows of Muscadine & Scuppernog vines!

It's the time of year for picking so we gave him a call and came on over!
He said "Pick you a whole mess of them!!" So, we did!

Dan - The Muscadine man says these vines were planted some 25 years ago.
The farm has been in the family and there have never been any pesticides used.

We are saving the seeds to plant rows of our own one day.
But, we have way too many seeds. We will never plant this many!
So, we decided to list a few to share with you.

This listing is for Muscadine seeds only.
The grapes start green, then turn a shade of pink before turning purple.
The Muscadine Jelly tastes very similar to Concord Grape Jelly.

We have the Scuppernog seeds listed separately.
These are a green / yellow with a shade of pink when ripe.
The Scuppernong Jelly tastes very similar to Apple Jelly.

The best Jelly of all, in our opinion, is 50/50 Scuppernong & Muscadine.
Thank you for the awesome tip Dan! You ARE the Muscadine Man!!

The seeds were separated from the fruit, rinsed in Florida spring water, then stored in the refrigerator for preservation.

These seeds were harvested August 2023
